West Indian Jewelry Collection

St. Croix-born artist Danica David was inspired to create her West Indian Jewelry Collection by the island's beautiful architecture of yesteryear. Her designs are based on the Victorian-Style architecture found mainly in the city of Frederiksted, St. Croix. After the "Fireburn" in 1878, which was set by the laborers, the town builders wanted to be a bit more artistic. Hence, the bric-a-brac, gingerbread style was introduced on island. To the artist the designs represent rebirth. Enjoy!
